Nobody would ever need to hold a gun to my head to make me get a tattoo. Anyway, in no particular order:
1. Celtic Tree of Life - Not the standard design, I tried to find the one I like on google but I can't find it anymore. Luckily I had the good sense to print it out when I found it. Originally I wanted to get it on my left leg on the outside, above my ankle (its quite large) but I'm thinking more and more I'd like it on my shoulder, either right or left.
2. Celtic Spiral - very simple symbol, my friends Cassie Aaron and I were all going to get this together. It signifies life, death and eternity and is three spirals joined in the middle. It was pretty much the only thing we could all agree on and like the symbology. I want it on my foot somewhere, probably on the inside, not the underside.
3. If you have a hard back Houghton-Mifflin Co. edition of LotR available to you anywhere, flip open the dust jacket. That was the original tattoo I wanted, but I pussed out and went with an illustration from a children's book I had as a kid instead. I still really want to get that tattoo, although I change pretty much daily where I want to get it done. It will probably end up on my back somewhere.
4. Some sort of flower, either an iris or a lily. I know it sounds really stupid and cliche, but when I was growing up we had a patch of Tiger Lilies and Purple Irises that came back every year. Now with the lilies that's not so extraordinary, but irises are not a hardy flower, and even tho we never did a thing to cultivate them, they came back summer after summer. Also they smelled so sweet, like vanilla, I loved them.
5. Cresent moons, suns and stars. I have oh I don't know, about 10 different places all over my body I want to get those. I want to get a large cresent moon on my hip, facing down from back to front. I also want to get the earth tattoo I have on my one ankle touched up so it looks like its supposed to, and then get a sun, a moon and a star, on both ankles on opposite sides (the sun opposite the Earth, the Moon and star opposite each other) to create a whole little celestial theme.
6. (okay I have more than five) My brother wants to get our family crest on his chest, and I think after he gets his designed it would be nice to get the same tattoo. I would get it rather large on my back.
7. Ethan is supposed to design me one as well and has yet to. Also we were supposed to get flying pigs together, and even tho I'm not sure he was serious, I was DEAD serious.
