Hey Megan, when Mary and I start are really fantastic brewery where we brew really fantastic beer for women who love really fantastic beer, would do the artwork for our labels and stuff? I would run this by Mary first but I am 99.9% positive she will agree with this executive decision. To give you an example of some of the things you would be designing labels for we will have a Bitchy Blonde Ale, a Bikini Bitch (summer seasonal) and a Frigid Bitch (winter seasonal).

You should have been 100% sure, first of all. Secondly, it's "Dumb Blonde Ale"...Let's keep the bitch names for the seasonals...Also I am 100% serious about making this brewery happen within 15 years. Anyone else in?

I'm sorry to get redundant here, but this requires some explanation. Here's the latest incarnation of that painting I've been working on for an interior designer:



A few weeks ago, it was dry, done and this woman was coming to purchase. We agreed to meet at 5:30 at my apt. I get it all cleaned up, I put on some nice clothes, I try to look as professional as possible. Time goes by, not word one from this woman. Its finally 7pm when I get a hold of her, and she is twenty miles away, kickin it in the suburbs. Apparently, she was right outside my building, sitting in her car for about five minutes, and just never came up to buy the painting. She gives me some bullshit excuses, and then tells me she wants it to look more blurred & hazy, and that I have some more work to do.

So frustration beside, I did what she asked and I'm quite pleased with the result. I added somewhere around 13-15 thin layers of paint, which gradually built up to give the painting some very subtle depth, the photo doesn't do it justice. If this woman does not show up today to buy this, its going to highest bidder.

She finally came to get it on Monday. She arrived about an hour after she said she would be there, and I was getting nervous. Overall she got this painting at a bargain price, but she at least reimbursed me for supplies. She wants me to do a series of drawings for her as well, and I would like to say 'I don't want to ever do business with you again,' but the price tag for these is too attractive.

If it's rude to ask how much a painting like this fetches, then feel free not to answer, but I'm curious.

He sold it for super cheap, I'd say the normal rate would be $700 (if you're virtually unknown) up to a couple thousand (if you're an established artist, not necessarily famous).
If it was in a gallery, they'd probably ask $3-10k no joke. Eamonn and I were talking to galleries that wanted to do shows with just our prints and sell them for $1k a pop. A print.

After doing all those tight ass pen drawings with long odious coloring, I decided to break free tonight after Eames and I watched a bout of Cinderella. I must say, Cinderella did not leave me with the fairy tale fuzzies it used to, the prince says all of 3 sentences in that entire movie and he doesn't even track Cinderelly himself. Fucker.
But it was still beautiful and as wonderful as I expected.

Anyway, I had to prove to myself I could still be free as a bird with my work when I want to and I made this little hour-sketch that I am rather fond of.
