I personally love the Perry Bible Fellowship. They are short to the point and either clever or offensive.

That last comic (his newest update) bothered me so much.

First he reused old characters, something he's never had to do before, and then he uses a joke that's from Clerks: The Animated Series.   Clerks: TAS was a popular DVD release, so chances are he saw it at some point but I really don't like thinking that he's ripping off jokes from other people.

Yes I am well aware of that Nick. I used to have the DVD until it was unkindly stolen by a fat kid my sister knows.

So I was in the dining hall here at La Salle University with my newspaper in hand.   It was 8:00 AM so the place was basically empty.   I got up to get my coffee and food and then sat down, opened up my newspaper (Philadelphia Inquierer) to the comics section (as according to my morning ritual) and began reading.   Then my eyes lulled over to the top left corner.   My body jerked and I yelled "Fuck, yes!"

For you see, Calvin and Hobbes was being reprinted.

To make the matter even better, it replaced Cathy.

Elmer, can you scan the one you have? I'm going to start collecting this tomorrow.

I accidently read the last panel before the third and still got the joke.   I wish the third was instead Tycho turning his head looking at Gabe suspisiously.   Then Gabe blurting out "Ok thanks!   That was super hot!   Bye!"

Hehe, I dunno, I really liked Tycho's disturbed look in the fourth panel.

Thread bumped, bitches.

Normally, I don't like Starslip Crisis that much, even though I keep reading it for some reason every damned day.  But todays I thought was actually funny.  I think it has to do with Mr Jinx (the praying mantis) being in almost every panel, but not having one bit of dialogue.  I have hope that Starslip will get better now that CxN is dead, since the author will be back to writing only one strip.  I want to like it, I really do.

Starslip is actually a really original idea for a Sci-Fi web comic.   It takes place aboard a wandering "museum spacecraft", a spaceship that carries various art works across the galaxy to various planets.   So you get lots of great storylines out of this concept.   Plus, I really do love Jinx and Vanderbeam as characters.

Checkerboard Nightmare isn't dead Carly!   Its on Comizpedia monthly now, much like Ryan Estrada's Welton Colbert comics (one of which I helped write, wahoo!)

Rob and Elliot ( www.robandelliot.com ) - a pretty good webcomic I've discovered with nice clean art and consistant jokes.   It's been a little weird lately though...

Pearls Before Swine has been kind of weird lately.

Here are some recent ones that I found particularly funny:

I dunno, I hate to use this old excuse, but at least for me it feels as if I have to little time in the day to waste on bad webcomics. Penny Arcade, The Perry Bible Fellowship and PVP are some of my favorites, but only because I can usually expect them to distract me from the shit-stained kitty-kat that is reality. Since being introduced to The Perry Bible Fellowship by an infamous webcomic connoisseur, I have tried many times to have certain strips tattooed on the insides of my eyelids so I can read them whenever I so choose. Sadly, the technology just isn't there yet. Such is the eternal disappointment I must live with.

CtrAltDel is a vile front of declining standards except when Tim Buckley decides to actually comment on video games. Some of his "in-between" strips are actually humorous, while his continuity-driven strips descend into a langorous mush of disappointing punchlines and Ethan almost dying (not real-life Ethan. I mean CtrAltDel Ethan. Real Ethan (AKA Crimson Thunder) is much smarter than CrtlAltDel Ethan. Or so I've been told).

I will credit Tim with having an excellent track record. Also, his girlfriend is mad hot.

There is one webcomic that I've been reading faithfully for a while now. If anybody here knows about Leasticoulddo, they might understand what I mean. I just keep hoping for something. Maybe it will get better. I kind of feel like it's my retarded half-cousin and I just need to give it enough encouragement for it to turn into something worthy of my moderately valuable time (I hold few illusions as to the true value of my time).

Right now, I would have to say thank god for torrents, as they have allowed me to enjoy several manga (Naruto, Gantz) and comics (52, Batman: The Long Halloween) without them intruding on my wallet.

This turned out way longer than I intended, but whatever. Like Hitchcock wrote: Que Sera, Sera.

I feel your pain on the webcomic front, my dear Manco/Seth.  Although that doesn't mean I've found any shortage of worthy webcomics.  I think my list averages about 20, and I know Elmo reads a lot as well (also draws one!) so if you ever feel the need to broaden your webcomic horizons, I think you know where to turn.

This is for Rifty mostly, and also because Shortpacked is awesome:

And this is for me and every little chillun who watched Reading Rainbow or Star Trek or both!  Also, from Diesel Sweeties:

I love Shortpacked so danged much. I'm not sure whether he still uses the tablet pc to draw his comics but his art always has that great pen on paper organic feel to it.

Also its a comic about cartoons and toys. IT CATERS TO MY EVERY WHIM.

Bump bumpity bumped.

Most of the webcomics I read are on guest weeks due to, I assume, some comic con or something that's been going on, though I could be wrong and it could be a huge coincidince. In any event, QC's last guest strip was done by the guys over at White Ninja, a comic I don't read, but I do enjoy their guest strips.

http://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=935

I'm not going to put the actual comic up here, because its huge and ugly. The kicker however, is that there actually is a qcmiddleeast myspace, with an actual song on it, created by the WN guys to go along with the guest strip.

http://www.myspace.com/qcmiddleeast

It's pretty great.
